Elderly woman dies of suffocation in Kawdara blaze

Srinagar, Nov 28: An elderly woman died of suffocation while a house got damaged in a fire incident that broke out in Kawdara area of Srinagar on Sunday.

Official sources told that fire broke out in the house of Fayaz Ahmad Najar, son of Abdul Rehman at Kawdara.

The fire was brought under control, they said, adding that a 83-year-old woman identified az Raja Begum, wife of Abdul Rehman, however, died due to the suffocation.

The fire broke out after a fire pot fell in the room, they said
