Hi, I am Akhil Kesav hailing from God’s Own Country. I’m CEO of a reputed software company called Akira Software Solutions. This is a detailed narration of my everlasting urge to travel and the places this urge has taken me, both in India as well as abroad. Combining my two passions the second of which is vintage vehicles I’m now on a new adventure which had been put to hold for a couple of years now. The year 2020 changed the World as we knew it and changed our lives for better or worse. It changed mys life as well but instead of succumbing to the pressures I was looking forward to the time when I’ll finally be able to travel again. The moment arrived when I finally decided to take a break from being a CEO and went on to restore one of my favorite vehicles, a vintage Maruthi 800, 1985 model which I managed to restore to stock condition and set out on my own to explore the country. As someone who loves travelling this was not a difficult decision to make to be honest. Starting from Kerala eating on the way and sleeping in the car itself when in need of rest, I had travelled around 8000 kms so far when writing this and I’m now at Kashmir. Through the trip I’m fulfilling my wish of meeting and connecting with like-minded souls with a love for vintage motor vehicles of any kind be it bikes, cars, etc. I’m doing a mini vlog with my travels and intend to continue this and take it to much more serious level than what I initially set out to do which was just for my own peace of mind. Now I wish to share all my individual experiences with the rest of the world by creating informative vlogs about the travels hoping to motivate and inspire anyone who chances upon my content.
Once I’m done with Kashmir I’ll be moving to Nepal from where I plan to go to Bhutan and then covering northeast from where I’d travel to Kolkata before heading back home. Meanwhile I’m also trying to get sponsors for something special. A much awaited always planned but never materialized trip around the World in my vintage blue Maruti and make my country proud. I’ve always felt a car is not just a tool but almost an extension of my body and soul. For all of us who are travel and vehicle enthusiasts, I’m sure this is a relatable concept, A car is not just a car, a bike is not just a bike it is something that defines who you are. With a thought of ‘Creating smiles every mile’ and my wish to take the message to ‘save vintage’, my trusted ally, my Blue Maruti 800 and I could be passing through your state one of these days and if you do spot me, do not hesitate to approach me. I’m always all ears for new information, new destinations and bringing new people into my life.
