Dec, 29 : In order to awake the masses about drug addiction in society, District Administration Baramulla on Wednesday held a day long workshop cum awareness camp on drug de-addiction in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The camp was organized by the Social welfare department Baramulla at Law college of this North kashmir town.
The chief guest on the occasion was district Social Welfare officer Baramulla, Showkat Ahmad. Besides Tehsil Social Walfare officer Sopore, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Traders Federation Sopore, Principal Law College and students were present on the occasion.
The aim of the program was to show how we can eradicate drugs in our society so that our children can be mentally fit, said official. Adding that civil societies should come and play their role in eradicating the drug menace.
The official also stressed that such programmes should be held in every village so that we would be able to save this society from drug and mental disorders.
