Traffic police cop on duty sustains critical injuries after hit by a speeding vehicle

A traffic cop on duty was critically injured after being hit by a speeding vehicle in Humhama area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday.

Police sources told news agency that a traffic police cop was hit by a speeding vehicle near Railway Bridge in Humhama. The erring driver fled away from the spot.

They said the cop was shifted to JVC Hospital Bemina where his condition is stated to be critical.

The victim has been identified as Shahbaz Ahmed Dar (131/SPO) of Razwan village of Budgam.

Police in this regard have registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the driver.
