All Indian nationals in Ukraine will be brought back safely: Ashok Koul
Srinagar, March 01: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir on Monday announced the helpline numbers and contact persons for the stranded Indian nationals in crisis-hit Ukraine.
According to the party, a team of J&K BJP will try to provide all possible help and support through the helpline. Students and migrants stranded in Ukraine can contact Mr, Sh. Arvind Gupta 9419187131 and Manzoor Bhat 9469000077 .
Party General Secretary Org, Ashok Koul said that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre was making all efforts to bring back people of the country from Ukraine through Operation Ganga, which is yielding positive results.
“So far hundreds of students have been evacuated from the war-torn country, he said. Our honorable PM has formed a special task of ministers to evacuate the Indian national from Ukraine,” he said.
Koul said information collected from the helpline will be coordinated with the BJP’s central team for further action. Not only at the government level, but BJP at the state or UT levels has also issued helpline numbers for the stranded Indian nationals,” he said.
He said anyone from Jammu and Kashmir, can contact the given numbers and the party will assure that all the stranded students or laborers of the region will be brought back safely from Ukraine.
“Those students or Indian nationals who are coming near Romania borders are being evacuated on a priority basis. So far five flights have reached New Delhi. Every stranded person from Ukraine will be brought back to the country,” he said.
Similarly, on the borders of Poland and other adjoining countries, the central government is trying to reach out the Indian nationals.
“PM has formed a special task force of Union Ministers to mitigate the Ukraine crisis. They are in contact with the Indian embassy in Ukraine,’ he said.
Koul said they have clear directions from the central government that all stranded Indian nationals will be brought back to the country.
There is curfew like situation in Ukraine cities and the government has taken all of them to safer places. Once the situation will be improved, they will be evacuated, he said.
The senior party leader said during the Covid19 crisis, the Indian government launched a special ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ to evacuate its residents from foreign countries. “ Similarly, Indian national stranded in Ukraine will be brought back,” he said.
