Doda: Childline Project host series of awareness campaigns

DODA, MARCH 05: Childline Doda on Saturday organised a series of awareness Campaigns Open House programme in different parts of the District.

An awareness camp was held at Saraswati Memorial Public High School Aamira Nagar Bhaderwah under the Supervision of Director Childline, Sanjeev Kumar (ACR).

District Coordinator Childline Project Doda Meenakshi Raina, Principal Anju Sharma, other Staff Members and two hundred children, and  fifteen others attended the program.

The participants were informed about 1098 childline Doda for reporting seeking help for the children in any distress situation. “Call on toll free number 1098 when any child is found in distress, or victim of Child Trafficking, or Child Labour and Children in danger or in any bad situation” the participants were told.

Masks, Sanitizers, pamphlets etc. were also distributed among the students.

Meanwhile, Childline Doda, in collaboration with Police Department organised another awareness Programme here at Premnagar

Childline Coordinator Briefed audience about  the role of CHILDLINE and 1098 toll free number. Childline is a 24×7 Outreach service Night and day for every child.

The Childline Coordinator informed the participants about their work and regarding  Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act For Children and various issues like drug abuse, child trafficking, Child marriage , Child Labour and POCSO and Role of Child Welfare Committee (Meant for the children in need of care and protection), Juvenile justice Board  (JJB) meant for Children in Conflict with Law.
