DDC Shopian reviews progress of Works under District Capex Budget 2022-23

SHOPIAN, JUNE 08: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of the District/Sectoral officers to review the progress of works under the District Development Plan/ District Capex budget for the year 2022-23.

The DDC took work wise review under MGNREGA, PMAY, 14th FC besides works undertaken by different executing agencies under DDC, BDC and PRI grants.

The meeting was informed about the status of works taken up under DDC, BDC and PRI grants which include construction of new assets besides purchase of equipments for smooth functioning of other public services.

The DDC directed field functionaries of the Rural Development Department to achieve 100% disbursement of payments within prescribed time.

Vaishya laid thrust on the need to speed up the execution of the works to provide early benefit to the public. He directed to work in tandem to resolve bottlenecks and other barriers, if  any. He also called upon the officers to monitor the quality of work so that people get durable assets.

The meeting also discussed the issues related to PMAY etc. as projected by the members of the DDC.

The DDC impressed upon the officers to work in close liaison with the departments to facilitate completion of works within given time limits.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Manzoor Hussain; Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana; Assistant  Commissioner, Development Shopian, Hilal Ahmed Jeri;  Xens, ACP,  BDO’s and other officers  were present in the review meeting.
