CEO seeks explanation from HOIs for Poor academic performance.
Poonch: On the direction of Chief Education Officer Poonch,Bishamber Dass, Massive surprise inspection was yesterday conducted by DEPO, Principals and ZEOs of Poonch district in over 57 Schools of different Zones in Poonch district.
Twelve teams of Principals and ZEOs were constituted to visited different Schools to check the presence of the staff and to monitor the academic performance of the Teaching staff in the schools.
CEO, Bishamber Dass, along with DPEO N. M Suri and ZEO Mandi, Mohd Bashir, visited MS Bhainch, MS Khaneter, GMS Tanda, PS Safeda, GMS Kalsian, PS Sangwan, PS Kallar, G S Tanda, GMS Kalsian Baila, whereas, Eleven other Teams visited over 48 Schools in all the 11 Zones in Poonch district and interacted with the Teachers and students to know about the overall development of the schools.
During the inspections some of the Teachers were found unauthorizedly absent from their duties, whereas, some of the teachers were found unauthorizedly attached in the schools. The Visiting Officers directed all the unauthorizedly attached Teachers to report to their original place of postings, moreover, the salary of some of the teachers has been kept withheld for the month of September. The visiting officers also found poor performance of some of the PEMs and PETs and District Youth and Sports Services officer was requested to stop the salary of such PEMs and PETs for the month of September.
Some of the heads of schools were found poor in administrative skills and were directed to report to some of the Senior Principals to learn administrative skills.
The teams conducted the inspection from 08 AM to 2 PM and a total 25 Heads of schools and teachers were asked to explain their positions for dereliction of duties.
The Chief Education Officer said that the surprise inspection was conducted to maintain punctuality and quality education in government schools. He also said that disciplinary action will be initiated against the officers/employees, who were found poor performers or absent from their duties.
The CEO also emphasized upon the Principals and ZEOs and Heads of Schools to maintain punctuality in the schools as any kind of laxity with regard to discipline would not be tolerated in future.
