BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 20: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed today convened a meeting of the District Level Review cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) to review the performance for the quarter ending June 2022.
It was given out that Banks operating in the district have disbursed an amount of Rs 80.75 Crores in priority sector against the annual target of Rs.895 crores and Rs. 56.48 Crores in non-priority sector against the annual target of Rs.128 Crores marking an achievement of 44 percent amounting to total credit disbursement of 137.23 crores against the yearly target of Rs.1023.30 crore, thus registering a progress of 13 percent of the annual credit plan 2022-23 for quarter ending June 2022.
Lead District Manager Bandipora, Shabir A. Dar apprised the chair that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs.57.56 crores under priority sector and 50.91 crores under Non priority sector aggregating to total credit of Rs. 108.47 Crores against the yearly target of 518.38 crores showing an achievement of 21 percent.
Besides reviewing the performance of Banks and Govt. departments under various schemes, the DC directed banks for speedy disposal of Govt. sponsored cases and also emphasized the need for roping in the people under social security schemes.
He directed the concerned to focus on Social Security schemes and stressed on intensive awareness for increasing the coverage of Social Security Schemes.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, DDM NABARD Dr Asif and District Coordinators of all the Banks, Govt. departments and other development agencies.
