DDC Chairperson Ganderbal chairs quarterly Council meeting

GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 22: The second quarterly meeting of District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal was held today under the chairmanship of DDC Chairperson, Nuzhat Ishfaq at DDC Council office, here.

The meeting was attended by DDC Vice Chairperson, Bilal Ahmad; Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; DDC Members, CPO, ACR, ACD, ACP and other concerned.

At the outset, the DDC Chairperson sought the details of ongoing developmental works and reviewed the financial and physical progress achieved till date.

Addressing the meeting, the DDC Chairperson said the council is committed to ensure equal development of all blocks and development plan for 2022-2023 has been formulated keeping in view the importance of the work for welfare of the people.

She said that the council is committed to maintain the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayat Raj and special thrust has been laid on viable District Employment plan, District Drinking Water plan, District Sports Activity plan, District Health plan and District Road Development plans as per the needs of the people.

Nuzhat Ishfaq further asked the DDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of ongoing works in their respective area.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC assured full cooperation from all officers with the council and urged all to work in cohesive manner in order to accelerate the development works in the district.

The council members also raised few issues for which ADDC assured full support from district administration and said issues raised shall be taken into consideration.
