Police solves 02 burglary cases in Ganderbal; 04 accused arrested

Stolen property recovered

September 25: Police in Ganderbal have solved 02 burglary cases by arresting 04 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property worth lacs from their possession.

During the intervening night of 18/19-09-2022, Police Station Gund received an information that some unknown Burglars have entered into the houses of Ashiq Ahmad Mir son of Mohd Sultan Mir resident of Kullan and Muzafar Ahmad Famda son of Fazul Rahman resident of Kullan and had stolen Golden ornaments and cash.

In this regard, cases vide FIR No.s 74/2022 & 76/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Gund and investigation into the matter was initiated. Accordingly, a special team led by SHO PS Gund was constituted by SSP Ganderbal under the supervision of SDPO Kangan.

During the course of investigation, strenuous efforts were put in place by the investigating team and with the help of technical inputs, the Police Party was able to nab all the accused involved in commission of crime. They have been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Ganie son of Ali Mohd Ganie resident of Soibug Budgam, Mohd Saleem  Malik son of Mohd Sadiq Malik resident of Khag, Sameer Ahmad Lone son of Ab Rashid Lone resident of Khag kukerbag, Imtiyaz Ahmad Guroo son of Ab Rashid Guroo resident of Gundroshan, Rabitar A/P Parimpora Band. On their disclosure, stolen Golden items and Cash worth Lacs of rupees were recovered from their possession. They have been shifted to PS where they remain in Custody.

Community members have appreciated the efforts made by the Police for solving the burglary case. Our efforts should assure community members that Police is resolved to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
