ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 26: 12 Beneficiaries from different SHG groups of JKRLM- Dooru attended a day long orientation program about mushroom cultivation and its management. The program was held in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture Production Anantnag.
These members, from various NRLM units, have taken up mushroom cultivation as a small-scale industry initiative and the same has been sanctioned in their favour by the Agriculture Production department under convergence.
During the orientation, live demonstration and awareness creation about Mushroom Cultivation was done.
Dr. Nisar Ahmad Dar, Project Executive MKSP, JKRLM-Dooru said that the aim of the orientation was Community sensitization on Mushroom Cultivation and 12 Mahila Kisans and other members of the civil society were present on the occasion.
The members applauded efforts and facilitation by BMMU staff under JKRLM-Dooru. Technical support from DOAFW and especially by Project Executive-MKSP Dooru was appreciated by the community in general and beneficiaries in particular.
Project Executive-MKSP Dooru is monitoring the mushroom units as subject matter specialist and providing technical support as and when required.
