Kupwara The Border Security Force SHQ KUP, on request of Distt Administration, airlifted 04 Mortals remains of civilians namely Mohd Syed Qureshi, Shabbir Ahmed, Sadiqua Jan, Halima Fatima, all residents of Tangdhar, by MI 17 Helicoptor from kupwara to Tangdhar and also airlifted critical patients from Tangdhar to Kupwara on 13 Feb 2023, for treatment at higher medical centres. Tangdhar remains cut off from rest of the valley during winter due to heavy snow accumulation at Sadhana Pass. Resultantly, local population is not able to come to Kupwara for medical treatment. All this was done as a welfare measure on the dedicated efforts of Brig M D Upadhyay DIG BSF KUP and Shri Anil Verma, Comdt ADM BSF Kupwara. Apart from protecting the LOC , BSF is also extending cooperation to civil administration and helping civilians. Border Security Force in always there to serve the people of Kashmir and ensuring their well being is our first and foremost priority.
