Kangan, March 12: BJP district president Ganderbal Mohammad Amin Shah visited the tribal area of Kangan Ganderbal. “The residents are living in extremely miserable conditions and there is no road, electricity, proper health care, emergency services, education and food supplies to the village based on thousands of people. I found the village is not favourable at all. People are living tough lives.”, narrated Mohammad Amin Shah to the media in his low sad tone. The Mohlla Maliknar and Daradpati Gujjar Basti Wussan kangan no road, in this century the village is not connected to the town by road. People walk by foot kilometres to reach the main road. The patients and pregnant women are carried on shoulders, ration supplies are carried on shoulders or horses. The road to the village was sanctioned by block development but it was not completed due to land dispute. The villagers now demand the road should be completed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The village also installed a 100kv transformer two years ago but it is not connected to the supply wires and people are still waiting for the electricity.
BJP District Ganderbal that include district vice-presidents Riyaz Ahmad Lone, General Secretary Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, District Secretary Syed Ali Asgar Rizwi and Constituency President Kangan Javaid Ahmad Ganchoo along with Mohammad Amin Shah appeals Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal sd Shyambir to provide relief to the villagers so that they can live a decent life. Shah appealed to the LG administration to sanction the road under PMGSY and also order the PDD to connect the transformer in the village. Shah said that the villagers are looking at administration and BJP to help them in fulfilling long pending demands.
