Srinagar: The death toll in the Awantipora road accident in Pulwama district has reached to seven, as one more migrant worker from Bihar succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Hospital here this evening.
Six migrant workers from Bihar died, while over two dozen suffered injuries in an accident in Goripora, Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district two weeks ago.
The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Saleem, Raj Kumar, Kaisar Alam, Naseer-ud-Din, Muhammad Gulzar all residents of Bihar and Ali Hasan Ansari, a native of Jharkhan.
Sources at SMHS Hospital said one more injured identified as Irshad Aalam, a native of Bihar succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to seven.
They further said the condition of a couple of injured is still critical.
