Today 92 Battalion CRPF , Central Reserve Police Force has organized a free medical camp at Rajpora area of Handwara under Civic Action programme.

More than 300 patients including children, women and elderly were treated and given free medicines.

Though the main role of CRPF is internal security, even then we are always ready to provide assistance to the public by conducting medical camps. This Unit will conduct more such camps to assist the local public in future.

While delivering vote of thanks Shri Vijay Kumar, Commandant 92 Battalion CRPF briefly described about the programme and stated that such programmes have been organized by the CRPF under its social responsibility schemes where in they identify the needy segment of the society in their area of operations.

In addition to this, CRPF has its CRPF Madadgaar helpline established at IGP, KOS, CRPF, Office Pantha Chowk, Srinagar, J&K through which financial assistance for the following aspects is also provided to the J&K Inhabitants by calling on HELPLINE NO-14411.

Medical emergencies
Essential medicines
Blood donations
Haemodialysis/Chemotherapy, Assistance to Needy, Assistance to travelers, Tourists/pilgrimages.

Scholarships
Domestic violence
Women in distress
Drug De-addiction
Public safety and security
Recruitment/Sports activities.

He also informed that 92 Battalion has successfully hosted many such programmes and will continue in future too to help the needy segment. He hoped that such efforts will not only help the needy, but also dispel misconception about the force and make people friendlier to it.
