Kulgam,11-: May: Kulgam police is making every effort to hunt down the drug peddlers in the district and to put them behind the bars. Police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered the contraband substance from his possession.
A Police spokesperson said that party headed by SHO police station Kulgam under the supervision of DySP HQRS Kulgam while patrolling intercepted a person identified as Dilber Ahmad Bhat resident of Labripora, Kulgam moving in suspicious condition at Labripora crossing.
After his personal search, the officers present were able to recover 110 gram of Charas like contraband substance and cash amount of Rs 3400 pertaining to the proceeds of narcotic substances from his possession.
Accordingly, a Case FIR No. 96/2023 U/S 8/20 of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Kulgam and further investigation has been set into motion.
