Ganderbal 16th May:A Seminar on the theme Sexual Harrasment was organized by Degree College Kangan in collaboration with Ganderbal Police.
Mr Mudasir Ahmad AP Political Science and Mr Waseem Yaseen AP Environmental Science delivered lectures on Sexual Harrassment, its causes and consequences in our society. During the seminar, threadbare discussion was conducted among the participants about the dreadful menace of rapidly growing sexual harrasment in our society.
On the outset of the programme, SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS delivered the lecture & highlighted the various issues related to sexual harrasments. The participants, especially girls, were informed not to neglect any such incident, in case they fall prey to it. During the lecture, SDPO Kangan encouraged the students to focus on their educational careers & avoid all the Anti Social Activities. Moreover, he emphasised upon the fact that every citizen is responsible for the moral aspects of social setup & asked the participants to take their responsibilities and share any untoward immoral act with J&K Police, so that such elements of the society can be curbed effectively under relevant sections of law.
At the conclusion of the programme, Principal Degree College Kangan appreciated Ganderbal Police for taking such initiative & Mtr Shabeena Parveen HOD Urdu presented vote of thanks wholeheartedly.
