Says PDP chief Mehbooa Mufti feeling unnerved over such a historic event in Sgr; Mega event will help remove negative travel advisories on J&K

Srinagar, May 21: BJP J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur termed the G-20 event as the great opportunity to boost J&K’s rich culture and tourism potential besides the age-old hospitality.

In a statement issued here, the BJP spokesman said that it is for the first time that the G-20 meeting will be held in Srinagar under the presidency of India. “This mega and historic event will help boost J&K’s rich culture, heritage, hospitality and diversity. The event will help showcase Kashmir’s beauty and vast tourism potential at the global platform. We are hopeful that the foreign guests will become the ambassadors of peace in their respective countries which in turn will prove beneficial for the J&K’s tourism potential,” he said. Thakurs said that the grand success of the event will help spread word at global platforms to remove the negative travel advisories on J&K imposed by the foreign countries.

He said that Kashmir is all set to welcome the foreign guests and other dignitaries with open arms to prove their decades old hospitality. Thakur also lashed out at PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti who is opposing the G-20 event stating that she has once again proved that she is with the stand of Pakistan. “PDP chief is feeling isolated as she has been rejected by people of J&K on all fronts,” he said. Thakur thanked Prime Minister Narendera Modi for choosing Kashmir for G-20 events in Srinagar.
