Acting tough against the menace of drugs, Police have destroyed wild cannabis spread over vast areas of land at Goriwan & Gawas Sheeri areas of Baramulla.
Police received information regarding the presence of wild cannabis at Goriwan & Gawas Sheeri areas of Baramulla. Acting swiftly, a police party of Police Station Sheeri led by SHO PS Sheeri alongwith BDC Narwav shri Mir Iqbal, Sarpanch Heewan, Sarpanch Badmulla & respectables of Delina Baramulla under the overall supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan-JKPS destroyed wild Cannabis spread on over 10 Kanals of Govt land in these areas.
General public of these areas who also joined the destruction drive of wild cannabis at the said locations have hailed the efforts of Police. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
