The Fisheries Department in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has started the investigation to identify the culprits responsible for the killing of trout fish in Nallah Sindh.

A couple of days back scores of trout fish were seen dead in the Nallah Sindh at Sumbal Bala Gund area of Ganderbal district.

Sources told that trout fish died due to possible use of bleaching powder. They said people who catch fish in the Nallah Sindh particularly later hours might have used the bleaching powder leading to the killing of trout fish.

Assistant Director Fisheries Department Ganderbal, Salman Rouf confirmed the killing of fish. He said an investigation has been started and legal action will be taken against the culprits. [KNT]
