A girl was struck by a dumper in the Reshipora area of south Kashmir’s Awantipora on Tuesday and died on spot, officials said.
An official told that the girl, identified as Adeeba Arshid, daughter of Arshid Ahmad Shiekh R/O Reshipora, was hit by a dumper with registration number JK011AE 3177 in Reshipora, Awantipora, and soon after the incident she succumbed to her injuries and died on spot.
He further added that the driver has been apprehended, and the dumper has been impounded. Subsequently, a probe has been initiated, and the police have taken cognizance of the incident. (Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
