In a bid to engage and collaborate with the young minds of Kashmir, the Indian Army, in association with Kashmir Central magazine, organized an enlightening Youth Seminar. The event took place on October 17th at the North Campus of Kashmir University
the seminar aimed to foster an environment of vibrant discussion and active participation from various sections of society, including youth, academicians, intellectuals, professionals, and creative thinkers. With an audience of around 1000 individuals from different age groups, the seminar touched upon crucial topics such as educational reforms, innovation, and cultural inclusiveness.

The session commenced by a captivating welcome address by Mr. Bashir Assad, a renowned author and senior journalist. To provide a glimpse of Kashmir’s rich cultural diversity, a troupe led by Ms. Shagufta Rehman presented an enthralling performance, captivating the audience.

During the seminar’s initial discussions, the focus was on ‘Innovative Pedagogies and New Education Policy’. Mr. Bashir Assad, along with Ms. Mehjabeen Nabi, a Social Activist, and Mr. Aijaz Bashir, shared their valuable insights with an engaged and captivated audience.

The concluding session revolved around the theme of ‘Preserving Our Cultural Heritage’. Esteemed speakers, including Prof. Gul Mohd Wani, a Political Scientist and Educationist, and Mr. Mushtaq Ali Ahmad Khan, an Actor, Art Promoter, and Filmmaker, shed light on ways to safeguard and celebrate Kashmir’s rich cultural and historical heritage and its syncretic identity.

Students and faculty members from schools and colleges across North Kashmir actively participated in the seminar, fostering invigorating discussions, and presenting thought-provoking queries and opinions to the esteemed panelists. (KS)
