Now traffic plays on the Srinagar-Leh highway

Due to recent snowfall, officials have confirmed that the Sinthan-Kishtwar road will remain closed today.

An official told that the Anantnag-Sinthan-Kishtwar road (NH 244) will be blocked for traffic movement as snow clearance is currently underway in the Sinthan Pass region.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice, he said.

Meanwhile, authorities opened the Srinagar-Leh highway on Wednesday for traffic movement.

Pertinently, as per Director MeT, Sonum Lotus, the weather conditions would improve from today. (KS)
