Security forces have foiled an infiltration attempt in Jumagunf area of Keran sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district by killing a terrorist, police said here on Monday.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Kashmir Zone Police said that the joint operation commenced yesterday during which a terrorist was killed.
“In a joint operation that commenced yesterday, Army and Kupwara Police have successfully #foiled an #infiltration attempt in Jumagund area of Keran sector in which one #terrorist has been killed. Search operation continues,” police said.
This comes two days after a major infiltration bid foiled along the Line of Control in Machil Sector in which 5 terrorists were killed—(KNO)
