The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police have issued an advisory, urging people to avoid traveling on NH-44 until the road is cleared and safe for passage.
The highway near Mehad, located in the Ramban district, witnessed a massive mudslide, covering a significant portion of the road. This natural disaster has posed a serious threat to the safety of commuters and vehicles, making it impassable.
Additionally, the region around T-2 Ramban has been plagued by shooting stones, another perilous situation that endangers anyone traveling on the highway. The continuous dislodging of stones from the slopes presents a grave risk to motorists.
