Kupwara, Dec 2: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting of concerned officers, Magistrates, Centre Superintendents and examination Observers at Meeting Hall of DC Office Kupwara to finalize the preparations of OMR based written examination for the post of Panchayat Secretary of JKSSRB, scheduled to be held on 10th of December in the district.

At the outset, ADC Kupwara, Gh Nabi Bhat, through a detailed Powerpoint presentation apprised the chair about the status of arrangements being made for seamless conduct of SSRB examination.

During the meeting, it was informed that around 10,08O candidates are expected to appear in the written examination at 42 centers across the District. For the smooth, free and fair conduct of examinations 42 Magistrates, 42 Observers, 42 Superintendents and 5 Dy.Superintendents have been deployed in the district.

Deliberations in the meeting focused on roles and responsibilities of manpower, meticulous arrangement of basic facilities, pre and post exam procedures , elaborate security arrangements, logistics for transportation , safekeeping of examination materials and efficient traffic management.

The Deputy Commissioner said that fair and transparent exams are the top most priority of the district administration and any laxity in following SOPs of conduct of examination will be viewed seriously.

During the meeting the police department was directed to ensure adequate deployment of Police personnel for escort of examination material and for proper frisking.

Similarly, the Traffic Police and ARTO Kupwara were directed to ensure proper transportation arrangements to the designated examination centres and keep a vigil on the issues of overcharging of fare.

EXen PDD was directed to keep uninterrupted power supply on the day of examination.

DC directed Chief Education Officer to ensure that all the examination centres are kept ready well in advance and undertake an extensive excercise to check availability of basic amenities in the examination centres.
Likewise, the PHE department was asked to keep drinking water facilities in the centres.

Meeting was attended by District Officers, besides Observers, Magistrates, Superintendents and Dy. Superintendents.
