10th Battalion SSB Srinagar Leads Successful Cleanliness Drive and Medical Outreach at Hari Parvat as part of Swachhta Pakhwada

Swachhta Abhiyaan is a nationwide cleanliness campaign launched by the Government of India. Under this campaign, the Home Ministry is celebrating Swachhta Pakhwada from 1 December to 15 December 2023.

The campaign focuses on promoting cleanliness, hygiene and proper waste management practices across the country and encourages proper disposal of solid waste and adoption of hygienic habits.

In continuation of the said campaign, today on 09/12/2023, under the leadership of Shri Rohitashwa, Commandant, 10th Battalion SSB Srinagar, cleanliness drive was carried out in Hari Parvat (Raja Hari Singh Fort) and along with planting of saplings. An O.P.D. was also established by Medical officials of 10 BN SSB to assist the tourists visting the Hari fort. Free medicines were distributed after primary checkup by Medical officer.

All the officers, subordinate officers and personnel of the unit and school children of standard public school, Alamgari Bazar, Srinagar were participated enthusiastically in this cleanliness campaign.

At the end, Commandant of 10th Battalion Shri Rohitashwa while giving a message to the society said that this initiative has made significant progress in improving sanitation and raising awareness about the importance of cleanliness. It reflects a collective effort to create a healthier and more sustainable living environment for all citizens.
