A Police official said, “A distress call from Khurshid Ahmad Bhat R/O Dobdaban in Nandimarg requesting for urgent rescue and medical evacuation of his wife who was in critical condition was received by DH pora Police.”
“Due to heavy snowfall during the day yesterday, the road was completely blocked and the movement of vehicle was very difficult”, he said.
On the directions of SSP kulgam Sahil Sarangal arescue team headed by SDPO Rohit Gupta ,DSP Atal Sharma and SHO DH Pora was immediately deputed to respond to distress call. Inspite of heavy snow on the road, the rescue team reached the location on time and the patient was carefully and safely evacuated to D H pora hospital
General public of the area thanked Sopore Police for this timely humanitarian gesture.
