Anantnag Police Targets Drug Dealing , Arrests One More Notorious Drug Peddler Along With Narcotic Substance

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested one more Drug Peddler in Anantnag and recovered Narcotics substance from his possession.
Police Party from Police Post Sangam laid down a Naka at Naina Sangam during naka checking Police party intercepted one vehicle Mahindra Balero bearing registration No. JK02DA-8994 and recovered about 18.71 Kgs of Poppy Straw from the said vehicle. Driver of the Vehicle identified as Muraad Ali S/O Naik Alam R/O Kadyal RS pora Jammu was arrested on spot. Contraband as well as vehicle used for the commission of crime seized.
In this regard a case under relevant sections of the law stands registered in Police station Bijbehara and investigation set into motion.
Drug dealings in Anantnag District have put our community at the risk of harm and eventual criminalization. Our consistent actions against Drug peddlers are aimed to end this Menace of Drug addiction. It should reassure the community members and encourage them to come forward with any information pertaining to Drug peddling in their neighborhood.
