SRINAGAR, JUNE 25: Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, today convened a meeting with Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), health officers and officials of Baltal and Pahalgam Axis besides health administration of adjoining districts.

The Secretary had a detailed review of healthcare preparedness in view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra commencing on 29th June. He sought status of all the major health components significant in delivering hassle free healthcare services to the devotees during the yatra period.

Dr Abid Rasheed strictly instructed the officers to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place for the pilgrims. He asked for continuous checklist based audits for foolproof healthcare delivery system. He stressed for zero tolerance against any mismanagement while asking the officers to ensure that every mandated healthcare facility is easily accessible.

The Secretary emphasised the importance of facilitating a seamless and hassle-free Yatra experience for the pilgrims. He directed for ensuring that requisite healthcare staff should be readily available at all healthcare institutions. He stressed that proper handover and take over at the time of staff rotation be ensured.

He directed all the concerned officers that adequate stock of drugs, equipments and other logistics should be validated on routine basis and the report of same be shared on a daily basis.

Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq A Rather, briefed the Secretary about the status of infrastructure, drugs, logistics and other relevant services pertaining to healthcare delivery system in place for the yatra period.

Among others the meeting was attended by CMO Anantnag, I/C CMO Ganderbal, Medical Directors (Pahalgam/Baltal Axis), Nodal Officers Yatra DHSK (Pahalgam/Baltal Axis), Yatra Unit DHSK and other concerned.
