Sonmarg, July 16,: Three tourists including two women were killed while a kid sustained critical injuries after a vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident at tourist resort Sonamarg falling under the jurisdiction of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said.
Official sources told that a Tata Sumo (JK13B-9912) on its way to Zero-Point from Sonamarg skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Panimatha spot – located between Bajri Nallah and Captain Mode.
“There were 4 passengers on board. The driver had a miraculous escape while two women and a man accompanying them died on the spot. A child has been shifted to hospital in critical condition,” they said.
They said the identities of these tourists are being ascertained. [KNT]
