The Director General of Income Tax, North West Region, Ms. Monica Bhatia, IRS 1990, graced the Income Tax Office of the Investigation Wing at Srinagar to celebrate the 165th Income Tax Day. With the jurisdiction of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, Ms. Monica gave the message of honesty, commitment, integrity and efficiency to the officers of the Income Tax Department. The officers were directed to uphold the principles of taxpayer service and facilitation with a focus on expansion of tax base in Jammu and Kashmir. The Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Sh. Surinder Kumar, IRS 1991, were also present and encouraged the officers to administer the Income Tax Act in fair and transparent manner.
