Srinagar, July 28: Three bodies that were retrieved from Dal Lake near Foreshore Road in Srinagar yesterday have been identified as Ramban residents even as police said further investigation is going on.

A top police official told that the deceased include a woman and her minor kids and they were residents of Ramban’s Gool area.

He said that the primary investigation suggests that this could be the case of suicide by drowning, but final conclusion will be made once probe is completed. “A special team of doctors, including forensic experts, are on job to ascertain details and further investigation is underway,” he said.

The official said that as a professional force Srinagar police will conduct foolproof inquiry into the matter, while forensic experts are already on job.

Notably, body of a woman and her two minor kids was retrieved from Dal Lake yesterday evening, following which police initiated further proceedings—(KNO)
