Elderly Woman Killed in Bear Attack in Qalamabad

Srinagar, Jul 30: A 50-year-old woman was killed in a bear attack in Mirpora Qalamabad area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon, officials said.

 

They told API that one Zareefa bagum wife of Farooq Ahmad khan, resident of Mirpora Qalamabad was attacked by the wild animal while she was outside her home. She sustained grievous injuries in the attack and succumbed subsequently after, they added.

 

Meanwhile SHO Qalamabad Inspector majid Ahmad has also confirmed to API about the death of the elderly woman.
