Kulgam, August 17 : SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS conducted a comprehensive meeting related to the security measures, deployment plan etc at DPL Kulgam, in view of upcoming assembly election.
Officers including Addl SP Kulgam, Addl SP NHW Qazigund, All GO’S, SHOs, IC PPs and PCs were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions with regards to security of polling locations, camping sites, strategies to counter terror/L&O, other election related issues were held to ensure hassle-free conduct of election.
SSP Kulgam directed the officers to ensure cordial relation with the general public, adhere SOPs during the entire electoral process, follow guidelines of election commission of India and maintain utmost synergy with other Forces operating in the district, so that real time action is taken in case of any exigency and accordingly any unwanted incident is avoided and also emphasized all officers to facilitate people in exercising their constitutional right to vote.
