PAKISTAN’S FALSE PROMISES TO KASHMIRI YOUTH
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Pakistan has been accused of making false promises to the youth of Kashmir, using their plight as a tool for political and strategic gains rather than genuinely addressing their needs. These promises which have spanned decades have largely failed to materialize into any real benefits for the Kashmiri people, particularly the younger generation. Pakistan has consistently promised to support the Kashmiri people’s struggle for self-determination and liberation from Indian rule. However, these promises have largely remained rhetorical. Instead of concrete action, Pakistan has often used the Kashmir issue to stir emotions and gain support both domestically and internationally without providing any substantial help to the Kashmiri youth.

Rather than promoting peaceful solutions, Pakistan has been accused of encouraging militancy among the Kashmiri youth. By supporting and facilitating militant groups in the region, Pakistan has trapped many young people in a cycle of violence. This has not only led to loss of life and disruption in the region but also prevented the youth from pursuing education, employment and a stable future. While Pakistan claims to support the Kashmiri cause, it has done little to improve the economic conditions in the region. The youth in Kashmir face high unemployment rates, poor educational opportunities and a lack of infrastructure. Despite promises of development and prosperity, Pakistan has not invested in the necessary resources to uplift the region’s economy or provide better opportunities for its young population.

Pakistan’s promises to the Kashmiri youth are often seen as a tool for political gain. By keeping the Kashmir issue alive, Pakistan’s leaders can rally nationalist sentiment and distract from domestic challenges. However, this has left the Kashmiri youth feeling exploited, as their genuine grievances are used for political maneuvering. Pakistan has repeatedly promised to raise the Kashmir issue on international platforms and garner global support for their cause. However, these efforts have largely failed, with Pakistan facing diplomatic setbacks and isolation. The lack of international support has further disillusioned the Kashmiri youth, who see little hope in Pakistan’s promises of global advocacy.

The repeated failure to deliver on its promises has led to a breakdown of trust between the Kashmiri youth and Pakistan. Many young Kashmiris feel abandoned and betrayed, as the promises made to them over the years have not translated into any tangible benefits or progress. This broken trust has left the youth feeling disillusioned and uncertain about their future. Pakistan’s false promises to the Kashmiri youth have contributed to a deep sense of frustration and disillusionment in the region. The rhetoric of support and liberation has not been backed by meaningful action, leaving the youth to face ongoing challenges without any real hope of resolution. As a result, many young Kashmiris are increasingly skeptical of Pakistan’s intentions and promises, viewing them as empty words rather than genuine commitments to their well-being and future
