Srinagar, Sep 13 : Two of the four soldiers in an encounter at Chatroo, Kishtwar have succumbed, official sources said today.

Defence sources said that two out four injured soldiers have succumbed while two are being treated. Earlier, army stated that four soldiers have sustained injuries in an ongoing operation at Chatroo, Kishtwar. At three Jaish-e- Muhammad terrorists are believed to be trapped in Chatroo area.

The security forces have widened the cordon to ensure terrorists don’t flee. The ecounter is under way a day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Doda district where he is scheduled to address an election rally. (NVI)
