Jammu, September 16: An army trooper was injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in Mendhar area of Poonch district on Sunday.

Officials told that an army personnel (Agniveer) namely Dinesh Koranga was cleaning his weapon when accidentally his rifle went off resulting to self injury to his left forefoot.

He was immediately evacuated to Goverment hospital Rajouri for advanced treatment.

His condition is stated to be stable, they added.(GNS)
