Poonch, Oct 05 (KB): An army soldier reportedly died by suicide in the Behroote Balakote area of Poonch district on Saturday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB) that an army soldier died by suicide in Behroote, Poonch.
He said the soldier has been identified as Manish Bisht, son of Puran Singh, a resident of Kafra in Almora, Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, the incident occurred when the soldier allegedly shot himself with his service weapon, resulting in his death on the spot.
An investigation has been taken up, and details are awaited.—(KB)
