Srinagar, Oct 20: On the second day of the counter-infiltration operation, Army said that one heavily armed terrorist was killed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday. They said the joint team neutralized one heavily armed terrorist and recovered:

57 AK Rounds
2 Pistols
3 Pistol Magazines

The operation was launched late Saturday in the Kamalakote Uri sector. Earlier, Army said, “Based on intelligence inputs regarding a likely infiltration bid, a joint anti-infiltration operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police along the LoC in general area Uri.”
Alert troops spotted suspicious activity, challenged, and were met with indiscriminate fire from terrorists. The vigilant troops effectively responded and retaliated, resulting in the death of a heavily armed terrorist on Sunday. – (UNI)
