Srinagar, Oct 20: A rusted mortar shell was discovered today in the Upper Gohlad area of Mendhar subdivision of Poonch district, during road construction activities.
An official said that the shell, believed to be an old unexploded ordinance (UXO), was found by construction workers at the site.
“Upon noticing the suspicious object, the workers immediately alerted the local police,” the official said, adding that the police rushed to spot.—(NVI)
