On 29th October, based on inputs about an imminent terror attack in Pulwama town, a joint naka of Pulwama SOG, 55RR, and CRPF 182Bn was laid in the evening hours at the Circular Road, Pulwama. During checking, one person, namely Danish Bashir S/o Bashir Ahmad R/o Dangerpora, Pulwama, who was traveling on his scooty, was asked to stop at the Circular Road and a search was conducted. Upon checking, 10 live grenades and 5 batteries were found in his possession, which were carefully wrapped and kept in the under seat of the two-wheeler. Cognizance of the said recovery has been taken, and case FIR no. 224/2024 u/s 18, 39 UAPA, ¾ Explosives Act has been registered, and the suspect was arrested. Further investigation into this matter is ongoing, and more arrests are likely to take place.
