Sopore, Oct 29: The two-day capacity-building program under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan concluded on Tuesday at the Rehmat-e-Aalam Educational Trust in Seloo Sopore, located in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
The program, aimed at making Sopore a drug-free subdivision, was conducted at two separate institutions: Islamia Public School in Warpora and the Rehmat-e-Aalam Educational Trust.
During the event, participants were trained on how to identify individuals who have fallen victim to drug addiction.
Attendees included CO 179 CRPF V.K. Choudhary, Chief Civil Defence Baramulla Dr. Anayat Mir, TSWO Fayaz Ahmad Lone, 179 CRPF DC Ajeya Kumar, AC 179 Mr. Roshan, and various officers from the CRPF,Chairman Rehmate e Aalam Educational Trust Seloo Mr Muzaffar Ahmad along with Teachers,Students Staff members of the civil society in Seloo.
Speakers emphasized the need for relentless efforts and commitment to make the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan a result-oriented campaign. They pointed out that drug addiction poses a serious threat to the future of the younger generation, urging the community to take shared responsibility in monitoring their children and loved ones to prevent them from falling into this menace.
Various strategies to keep youngsters away from drug abuse were discussed during the meeting, with the primary goal of establishing Sopore as a drug-free area.
Additionally, students from Sanctorum School in Lalad Sopore presented a special Nukad Natak that highlighted the obvious effects of drug abuse on individuals.
During the closing ceremony, CO 179 distributed certificates to students, along with stationary kits to recognize their efforts.
Furthermore, CO 179 V.K. Choudhary interacted with students from Sanctorum Lalad and had lunch with them, motivating them for a bright and successful future.
