Handwara Nov 5 : During Cordon and Search Operation at Bongam Chogul Jd Of Police Station Handwara, Police Handwara along with 22RR and 92 BN CRPF, apprehended one terrorist associate namely Ashiq Hussain Wani S/o Ab Kareem Wani R/o Tujjer Shareif Sopore and from his possession 01 Pistol along with 01 Magzine and 07 live rounds were recovered.
In this regard a case FIR No. 200/2024 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Handwara and the investigation is underway.
This operation further ascertains the continued efforts of Handwara Police against anti-national elements by thwarting a potentially grave terrorist incident in Handwara. The Police and security forces welcome any such actionable inputs from the general public and assure swift action as per law.(BAN)
