Karnah: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, along with a team of officials, visited Gurudwara Sahib Tarboni in Karnah, North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, to join the Sikh community in celebrating the auspicious occasion of Guru Purab, the Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Accompanied by the Tehsildar Karnah, SHO Karnah, Bopar Mandal President, and other dignitaries, the SDM extended heartfelt greetings to the Sikh Sangat. The visit was marked by prayers and interactions with the devotees, fostering a spirit of harmony and inclusivity.
The Gurudwara authorities expressed their gratitude to the SDM and her team for the seamless arrangements made to ensure a smooth and joyful celebration. They lauded the administration’s efforts in facilitating the event and supporting the community.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDM highlighted the universal teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, emphasizing the values of unity, peace, and compassion. “This sacred event offers an opportunity to strengthen brotherhood and harmony in our diverse community. May it usher in peace, progress, and prosperity for all,” she said.
The Sikh community in Karnah appreciated the warm gesture and reaffirmed their commitment to contributing towards communal amity and development. The event concluded with devotional prayers and a sense of collective hope for a brighter future.
