KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Dr. Rakesh Minhas, today chaired a detailed meeting with all stakeholders to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the upcoming JKSSB examination for recruitment of JKP constables scheduled on December 1, 2024.
Around 16,500 candidates are expected to appear for the JKP constable recruitment examination. The JKSSB has set up 38 examination centers across the district to accommodate the candidates.
The Deputy Commissioner discussed protocols for handling examination materials, including their secure collection from JKSSB, safe storage at the District Treasury, and timely distribution to all 38 designated examination centers. Emphasis was laid on maintaining strict security measures throughout the process.
To ensure a safe and organized examination, Dr. Minhas directed the ASP to deploy adequate police personnel at all examination centers for security and frisking. The ASP was also asked to take services of ASHA workers to assist in frisking female candidates. He was also asked to enhance security arrangements at the District Treasury for safeguarding examination materials.
Duty Magistrates were instructed to oversee the smooth entry of candidates into the centers, ensuring that there are no delays while maintaining strict compliance with frisking protocols and other standard procedures. Center Superintendents were advised to visit their respective centers well in advance and finalize the seating arrangements to prevent any last-minute disruptions.
It was informed that carrying mobile phones would be strictly prohibited inside the examination centers both for candidates and staff. Arrangements will be made to securely store mobile devices of staff during the exam period.
To ensure smooth vehicular movement and prevent congestion, the Traffic Police will deploy personnel around the examination centers to regulate traffic. The entire examination process will be conducted under stringent security measures, including videography of critical aspects, to ensure transparency and accountability.
Dr. Minhas called upon all officers involved to maintain real-time communication and report any incidents promptly to ensure the examination process is conducted fairly and without interruptions.
