Srinagar: In an effort to extend assistance to needy residents and promote the importance of health, a free medical camp was organized by 161 Battalion of CRPF under the Civic Action Program in Bhagwanpora area of Srinagar on Saturday
The camp was aligned to the needs of the local population where the health of local people was examined and medical advice was rendered by Dr. Ashwani Malik, AC, (IRLA-11993) of 161 Bn and Dr Shagufta Ashraf Khan, GDMO (IRLA- 507107) of 144 Bn CRPF and in addition, free medicines were also made available to needy patients.
. Balihar Singh, Commandant, 161 Bn, supervised the medical camp and interacted with the local populace on the occasion and conveyed that CRPF medical assistance will always be at the service of the society and fellow country men. He further added that it is a matter of great pride to fulfill our social responsibility and it is not only an opportunity to connect with the people but also an assurance to the people that 161 Bn is committed to the well being and concerns of the local populace.
The camp received an overwhelming response from all sections of the society, who approached the medical team for advice and medicines. Local public welcomed the initiative and appreciated the gesture of the Force personnel. Total numbers of beneficiaries are 94 including 29 women and 13 children.
