Srinagar: All India Radio (AIR) Srinagar on Saturday held a ceremony to felicitate news editors, readers and other staffers associated with radio broadcasting services here on Saturday.
The ceremony, boasted as first of its type to recognise the valuable services of those engaged with radio services, was, as per news agency JKNS, presided over by former Vice Chancellor Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora Professor Siddiqui in presence of Head of Door Darshan News Qazi Salman, Joint Director Information Ehsanul Haque, Muslim Jan, Head of News Radio AIR Srinagar Tariq Ahmed Rather, Programme Head AIR Srinagar Ghulam Rasool Akhon, Dr Maroof Shah.
The ceremony saw a significant number of All India Radio employees, news Section officials and journalists being felicitated for their contribution regarding dissemination of information through radio broadcasting, in presence of dignitaries from different walks of life. (JKNS)
