Srinagar: Body of a man was on Saturday found lying along a riverbank in Nowgam area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS said that some passersby found a body this morning and informed the Police. Soon after a team of Police arrived at the site and took the body in its possession.
When contacted, an official told JKNS that the body has been identified to be of one from Mudasir Ashraf Dar, son of Mohammed Ashraf Dar, a resident of Namblabal in Pampore Pulwama.
“We have launched inquest proceedings to ascertain the cause of death of the person,” the official added. (JKNS)
